Why E3 is so important to the video game industry?

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is the world’s premier trade show for computer, video and mobile games and related products. Is not open to the general public, you must be an industry professional to attend. This year E3 takes place June 16-18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

But why is it so important to attend this event?

Here are the three things that you can not miss of the expo:

  • Press conferences with many announcements: there are always plenty of surprises at E3, lately many are leaked before being announced. This year you can expect news about Dark Souls 3, PS4, Fallout 4 and much more. You can see the press conference schedule herehttp://www.pcgamer.com/e3-2015-press-conference-schedule/

  • Whether you met on other events or worked together in the past, E3 is an opportunity to catch up with friends from the industry and it is also a good chance to meet new people. Don’t forget to check all the after parties that are going around the city (maybe you can party with Pikachu).

  • Spending time in a beautiful city like Los Angeles: It is always a good excuse to go to the Hollywood Boulevard and see the Walk of Fame.

See you there!

There’s an extraordinary amount of hype around a single three day convention, but it’s an occasion that’s invaluable to the gaming industry as it continues to evolve and face new challenges. We’ll look at it from a Nintendo perspective, and ask why E3 is so important to gaming.
